NOTES

  • All NHRA Safety Rules Apply

  • 1/4 Mile Race

  • Heads Up, Pro Tree, Red Light Loses

  • Single Elimination

  • NO DOUBLE ENTRIES -- If you enter Street Car Shootout you cannot enter any other class. If you purchase a second tech card it will be refunded.

  • We will qualify this class and split it into four groups of 16. Each class will have a breakout of .10 of the number 1 qualifier with the exception of Class 1 which has no breakout.

GENERAL RULES

  • Every vehicle must have a license plate, proof of current registration and valid insurance.

  • All vehicles must have a functional alternator.

  • All vehicles must have a functioning radiator and water pump.

  • We will allow approximately 20 minutes between rounds.

  • Headlights and brake lights must exist and be operational (one of each may be removed during competition for any reason after passing tech).

  • Must be able to return from a pass on its own power under normal use. Breaking and being towed back will not DQ if the car is able to be safely repaired.

  • Once competition has begun vehicles must be driven under their own power at all times unless broken. The only exception is that vehicles can be pushed by crew members only once in the staging lanes -- no tow vehicles / pit vehicles. If a vehicle is broken it can be towed back and if it can be repaired safely it may continue on in competition. Officials will be monitoring all vehicles after each round of competition. If a vehicle is broken and must be towed back to your pit, you must notify an official and explain/show the failure or issue. Officials reserve the right to DQ a competitor if he or she attempts to use the tow exemption more than once in competition.
